Jaci Hicken is a country girl at heart and she’s combining her love of food with her love for the community. Jaci is the founder of Jacican Cooking School and Food Studio. Based in Mirboo, Gippsland, Jacican is all about regional produce and Jaci runs cooking classes, as well as mentoring and coaching for food businesses. She started the business in 2012 and all of the products she uses are grown in her own garden. Jaci grew up on a dairy farm and as a young girl she would read her mum’s cookbooks and she loved to bake.
Her dream was always to retire in the country, grow vegies and cook and that’s exactly what she’s doing. She got her chef’s qualification in order to do this but she also has a business degree and journalism qualifications, so Jaci’s got all bases covered in order to run a successful business. Anybody who wants to learn to cook or requires help with food-based businesses or marketing, Jaci is the woman for you!
